Installation New Water Main and Sewer Force Main Friendly Road

Background
The City of Fernandina Beach, Florida is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB 25-08) for the installation of a new water main and sewer force main on Friendly Road.
The project aims to enhance utility services in a developed area of Friendly and Russell Roads on Amelia Island, Florida.
The City is committed to ensuring that the project meets local regulations and standards while providing necessary infrastructure improvements.

Work Details
The contractor will provide construction services for the installation of approximately 1,300 linear feet of new water main and 2,000 linear feet of sewer force main.
The work includes:
- Connecting an 8” water main on Friendly Road to an existing 8” water main on Bonnieview Road.
- Connecting a 4” force main to an existing gravity stub at Bonnieview and Russell Road.
- Installation methods may include trenching or directional boring.
- All roadway crossings must be repaired with flowable fill, with final asphalt repairs completed by the City.
- The contractor must perform all installation, testing, and restoration necessary to obtain final clearance from FDEP and Nassau County.
- The contractor will provide all materials, equipment, labor, tools, and supervision necessary for the project.

Period of Performance
The contract period begins upon award and issuance of a Notice to Proceed by the City.
A pre-construction meeting will be held before work commences.
The project timeline includes provisions for weekend and after-hours access if approved by the City.

The work will be performed along Friendly Road and Russell Roads in Fernandina Beach, Florida.
