Honors College Academic Building Architectural Services

Background
The University of North Florida (UNF) Board of Trustees is seeking professional architectural services for the design and construction oversight of a new Honors College Academic Building to be located on the UNF campus at 1 UNF Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32224.

The goal of this contract is to enhance the educational environment by providing modern facilities that support student learning and engagement.

Work Details
The scope of services includes complete architectural design and construction oversight for the new Honors College facility.

This facility will include classrooms, office spaces, study areas, and various student support spaces. Additional amenities may include meeting rooms, group study areas, music practice rooms, audio and video editing rooms, video conference rooms, and maker spaces.

A preliminary building program outlines site requirements, space requirements, interior and site amenities, quality of construction, materials and systems, overall gross area of the project, project budget (estimated at $13,685,000), organizational requirements, furniture and equipment needs, technology requirements, and infrastructure/environmental considerations.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed or Purchase Order by UNF and will remain effective until the completion or termination of the contract.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed on the UNF campus located at 1 UNF Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32224.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must be qualified under Chapter 481 of Florida Statutes to practice architecture or hold a current certificate as a registered engineer under Chapter 471.

Firms must be in current active status with the Florida Division of Corporations if they are Florida-based or qualified to do business in Florida if they are non-Florida based. Proposers must not be disqualified through procedures described in UNF Procurement Regulation 13.0010R and must not have been convicted of a public entity crime within 36 months prior to proposal submission.
