Generator Rental-Annual Contract

Background
Charlotte County is seeking to secure an annual contract for generator rental services on an 'as needed basis' for the New Day Christian Church, which serves as the County’s Special Needs Shelter located in Port Charlotte, Florida. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the shelter has a reliable power supply during emergencies.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a 500KW – 120/208-volt, 3 phase generator with a 72-hour fuel supply. The generator must come equipped with compatible cables for a CAM LOCK switch and be delivered with a full tank of gas. The contractor is responsible for connecting the rental generator to the assigned facility and conducting an onsite test to ensure proper operation. Maintenance of the generator while in possession of the County will be provided at no additional cost.

The contractor must guarantee availability from June 1st through November 30th and during hurricane watches issued by the National Weather Service. Delivery and installation must occur within 24 hours of request from the County. Pricing must include delivery, setup, breakdown, pickup, and rates for monthly, weekly, and daily rentals.

Period of Performance
The contract term will commence upon award and continue through December 31, 2025, with options to renew for two additional one-year terms by mutual consent.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the New Day Christian Church located at 20212 Peachland Boulevard, Port Charlotte, Florida.

Bidder Requirements
No local license is required to perform this service. Contractors must submit three recent references for similar projects completed within the last five years. The contractor shall not subcontract more than 49% of the contract value without prior written consent from Charlotte County.
