Florida Forest Service Road Material - Region 2

Background
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, specifically the Florida Forest Service (FFS), is seeking competitive bids to establish fixed rate Term Agreements for the purchase and delivery of road material in FFS Region 2. This initiative aims to support the maintenance and development of state forests and recreation areas within the designated region. The solicitation is conducted under Chapter 287, Florida Statutes, and Rule 60A-1, Florida Administrative Code.

Work Details
Vendors will be required to supply various types of road materials at a per ton price for all State Forest and Recreation Areas within the awarded District location. The specific road material products include:

- Hardpan
- Limestone
- Clay
- Clay (60%)/Sand (40%) Mix
- Shell (no clay mixed)
- Millings (first run only)
- Pea Gravel
- #57 Stone (approx. ½” to 1 ½” wide)
- #2 Stone (approx. 1 ½” to 3” wide)
- Riprap (approx. 3" to 6" wide)
- Riprap (approx. 6" to 12" wide)
- Riprap (approx. 12" to 18" wide)
- Concrete Blend (pieces ranging from 3/4" to 1.5")
- Granite Blend (pieces ranging from 3/4" to 1.5")
- Slag Product #1 Size
- Slag Product #2 Size
- Slag Product #3 Size
- Slag Product #4 Size.

Vendors must provide clean material that meets all Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications and is free from invasive or exotic plant species.

Period of Performance
The Vendor Term Agreement will be effective upon execution and shall expire after one year unless terminated earlier or renewed for up to three additional years based on mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in FFS Region 2, which includes various State Forests and Recreation Areas as specified in Appendix II of the solicitation document.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must have a valid W-9 on file with the Florida Department of Financial Services prior to issuance of a purchase order or contract. Additionally, vendors are encouraged to submit bids as certified minority business enterprises or certified veteran business enterprises for potential preference during the award process.
