Fleet Roof Replacement

Background
The City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida is seeking bids from qualified contractors to replace the roof at the fleet building for the City’s Parks and Recreation Department. This project aims to ensure the integrity and functionality of the facility's roofing system, aligning with the city's commitment to maintaining its infrastructure.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive roofing services including:

1. Wood Deck Reroofing: System design, permitting, complete tear-off, disposal, installation of a new approved roof system, inspections, guarantee letters, and additional related activities for the entire wood deck roof (Quantity: 1 LS).

2. Lightweight Concrete Deck Reroofing: Similar services as above for the concrete deck roof (Quantity: 1 LS).

3. Wood Deck Replacement: Replacement of any deteriorated wood deck portions as agreed with the project manager (Quantity: 256 SF).

4. Wood Nailers: Installation of new 2" x 6" or 2" x 12" pressure treated wood nailers on perimeter edges (Quantity: 30 LF).

5. Lightweight Concrete Deck Repair: Repair of any deteriorated concrete deck portions as agreed with the project manager (Quantity: 30 SF).

6. Solar Panels Installation Inspection: Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with installation standards (Quantity: 1 LS).

7. Walkway Pads: Installation of new walkway rolls (Quantity: 1,300 SF).

8. Solar Panels Mechanical Attachments: Installation of new mechanical attachments for solar panels (Quantity: 20 EA).

9. Solar Slip Sheet: Installation of new solar slip sheets as a separation layer for solar panels (Quantity: 432 EA).

10. Alternate Maintenance Services for Wood Deck and Lightweight Concrete Deck Guarantee Maintenance for three years as per manufacturer’s guarantee letter.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence on October 6, 2025, and will be completed within a timeframe determined by the project manager.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the fleet building located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet specific licensing requirements and provide documentation upon request. They must also comply with insurance requirements and submit an Anti-Human Trafficking Affidavit as part of their proposal.
