Background
The City of Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking bids for Fire & Security Alarm Monitoring Services to ensure the safety and security of various city facilities. The contract aims to provide comprehensive monitoring, service, repair, and maintenance of fire and security systems at these locations. This initiative aligns with the city's commitment to maintaining safe public spaces and protecting its assets.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:
- Monitoring fire and security alarm systems 24/7, including responding to alerts and alarms via a city-wide cellular communication network.
- Maintaining at least six months of central station history accessible by designated COJ representatives.
- Performing integration, repair, and installation of fire and burglar security alarm systems, including radio transceivers, antennas, surge protection devices, wiring, and peripheral devices.
- Ensuring proper operation of all integrated security alarm systems circuitry.
- Providing onsite technician responses to trouble calls with a four-hour advance notice requirement.
- Offering system design, engineering consultation, or budgetary proposals as needed.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period is one year with four optional one-year renewals subject to mutual agreement between the contractor and the City of Jacksonville.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the City of Jacksonville.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be legally authorized to conduct business in Duval County and comply with all local business license requirements. They must provide proof of relevant experience in similar projects and adhere to the Equal Business Opportunity Program encouraging participation from Jacksonville Small Emerging Businesses (JSEBs). Additionally, bidders are required to maintain specified insurance coverages throughout the contract term.
