Fire Extinguisher Maintenance, Recharging, and Repair

Background
The City of Tampa is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) for Fire Extinguisher Maintenance, Recharging, and Repair under BID NO. 26-P-00254. This contract is aimed at ensuring the safety and operational readiness of fire extinguishers used by Tampa Fire Rescue's Supply Division. The primary goal is to maintain compliance with safety standards and ensure that all fire extinguishers are functional and properly serviced.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive services for the maintenance, recharging, and repair of various fire extinguishers. This includes:

1. Regular inspection and testing of fire extinguishers to ensure they meet safety standards.
2. Recharging extinguishers as needed after use or when pressure drops below acceptable levels.
3. Repairing any damaged or malfunctioning extinguishers.
4. Providing documentation of service performed on each extinguisher, including inspection reports and service tags.
5. Ensuring compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations regarding fire safety equipment.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for a period of one year from the date of award, with options for two additional one-year renewals based on mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the City of Tampa as designated by the Fire Rescue Department.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered to conduct business in the State of Florida and comply with all applicable federal, state, county, and city laws, rules, and regulations. Additionally, bidders must not be on any convicted vendor list or engaged in activities that violate Section 287.135 of Florida Statutes regarding scrutinized companies.
