Background
The Florida Office of the Ocean Economy (FOOE), housed at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), is a state-supported initiative aimed at understanding, supporting, and growing ocean and coastal industries in Florida. Work Details
The selected vendor(s) will provide project management services including:
1. Ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timelines;
2. Managing workflows to ensure timely completion of deliverables;
3. Facilitating communication between FAU, FOOE leadership, and stakeholders;
4. Providing regular status updates, dashboards, and detailed reports to the FOOE Executive Director and FAU leadership.
Deliverables include a comprehensive stakeholder engagement summary report, marketing collateral creation, and preparation of the Annual Report for the FOOE. The vendor must demonstrate experience in project management within the Ocean Economy sector, establish workflows, monitor project performance against objectives, support statewide convenings on workforce and economic development, conduct policy research, draft policy briefs and issue papers.
Period of Performance
The contract will be for one year with three additional one-year renewals contingent upon approved funding.
Place of Performance
The work will be performed within the state of Florida.
Bidder Requirements
Vendors must demonstrate relevant expertise through professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or a minimum of three years of experience as a Project Manager. A Master’s degree in public policy or three years of experience in related fields is also acceptable. Vendors must be able to travel within Florida 5-10 times per year at their own expense.
