UF/IFAS Extension Escambia County is seeking quotes for lawn care and maintenance for their Stefani Road campus located at 3740/3730 Stefani Road. Work Details
The scope of work includes:
A. Mowing and other services provided at the end of the work week.
B. Monthly billing based on a total bid amount divided by 12 months; invoices will be prorated if less than 39 mowings are performed annually.
C. Grass must be mowed to no less than 1.5 inches, removing no more than one-third of the grass blade at a time.
D. Mowing extends up to buildings, avoiding ornamental plantings or special garden features.
E. Ditches marked on the map must also be mowed at both locations.
F. String trimmers may be used along buildings and sidewalks but not around tree trunks; damaged trees must be replaced according to University of Florida guidelines.
G. Grass debris must be blown back into lawn areas, avoiding doorways.
H. All trash debris must be picked up and disposed of from the grounds.
I. Personnel must dress appropriately while on site, including shirts, pants/shorts, shoes, and socks.
J. Pruning is required to facilitate mowing under trees, with all debris removed afterward.
K. Yearly installation of pine straw in designated beds is required.
L. A 'No-Smoking' policy is enforced on campus.
M. All equipment must be parked in paved areas only; any damage caused by the company must be repaired or replaced by them.
Pesticide & Fertilizer Applications include treating hardscapes for weeds, pre- & post-emergent applications in specified areas, and fertilizing designated turf areas during late April or early May.
