Emergency Response for Street Lighting Restoration

Background
The Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) is issuing a solicitation for Emergency Response for Street Lighting Restoration. This contract aims to ensure the restoration of street lighting in response to emergencies declared by the Mayor, Governor, or President. The goal is to maintain public safety and infrastructure during emergency situations, particularly during the 2025 hurricane season.

Work Details
The contractor must provide all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary for the complete performance of Emergency Street Lighting Restoration. Key tasks include:

- Obtaining all required permits before work begins.
- Maintaining traffic during operations.
- Performing various electrical repairs and installations as specified in the bid form.

Specific items include:

- CADWELD ground connections
- Removal and installation of underground wiring
- Repair of damaged conduits
- Installation of new wiring to luminaires
- Installation of transformer bases
- New pull boxes
- Service disconnects
- Concrete poles with arms
- Luminaires on existing poles
- Electrical service point relocations.

Period of Performance
The contract work must be completed within 365 calendar days after the effective date established in the Notice to Proceed with Contract Work.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed within Miami-Dade County.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program aiming for a 10.54% DBE aspirational contract goal. Bidders are required to submit various certifications including but not limited to debarment status and compliance with federal regulations regarding lobbying activities. Additionally, bidders must be registered vendors with Miami-Dade County.
