Edward L. Myrick State Farmers Market Unit 7 Interior Alterations and Parking Lot Improvements

Background
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) is seeking competitive bids for the renovation and improvement of Unit #7 at the Edward L. Myrick State Farmers Market located at 1255 W Atlantic Blvd, Pompano Beach, Florida 33069. The project aims to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the market space while ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and regulations.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supplies, and supervision required to complete the project as specified. The work includes:
- Renovation and conversion of a portion of Unit #7.
- Interior alterations including selective interior wall substrate changes, new kitchen configuration and equipment installation, fire suppression hood installation, cooler and freezer installation, painting, flooring replacement, and suspended acoustical ceiling system finishes.
- Alterations to the existing mechanical system for optimal HVAC efficiency.
- New plumbing and electrical improvements.
- Kitchen Equipment Schedule as detailed in APPENDIX I, SHEET A1.1.

Additionally:
- Deductive Alternative: Installation of exterior wall furring as described in APPENDIX I, SHEET A5.0.
- Add Alternates include various kitchen equipment installations such as a mop sink cabinet, hand sink, hot food serving table, dish cabinet with overshelf & cap, 6 open burner range, fryer, drop-in sink; bar counter with millwork/storage; hostess stand. All work must comply with Florida building codes and manufacturer’s instructions.

Period of Performance
The construction period is set to be substantially complete within 150 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The total contract period shall be 180 calendar days which includes 30 days for project close-out after substantial completion.

The contract will be performed at the Edward L. Myrick State Farmers Market located at 1255 W Atlantic Blvd., Pompano Beach, Florida 33069.
