Background
Miami-Dade County, through its Aviation Department, is seeking a qualified consultant to upgrade the Mechanical and Electrical rooms in Lower Concourse E and E-Satellite. This project aims to enhance the functionality and compliance of these critical infrastructure components within the airport facilities. The contract is designated as a public solicitation under Project No. E24AV04.

Work Details
The scope of services includes:
- Replacing existing air handling units (AHU)
- Modifying or installing a new air conditioning system
- Replacing existing panel boards, transformers, and circuit breakers
- Making structural repairs
- Expanding room footprints
- Patching, painting, and repairing existing walls
- Installing new equipment pads
- Replacing doors and hardware
- Conducting water leak repairs
- Firestopping pipe penetrations
- Modifying the existing fire protection system
- Performing electrical work related to equipment replacements
- Providing temporary utilities during the project duration
- Installing or adjusting access control systems.

The estimated contract amount is $12,269,929 with an effective term of six years.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of six years from the date of award.

Place of Performance
The work will be conducted at Miami International Airport, specifically in Lower Concourse E and E-Satellite.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must have valid technical certifications in specified areas such as Aviation Systems Engineering Design and Engineering Construction Management. Additionally, there is a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) goal of 20% participation for this project. Proposers must also comply with local business preferences as outlined in Miami-Dade County Code.
