Dune Walkover Replacement 20 Locations

Background
The City of Jacksonville Beach is seeking qualified contractors for the construction of 20 dune walkovers as part of the FY25/26 Dune Walkover Replacement project. The goal is to replace existing dune walkovers to enhance access and protect the coastal environment.

The project is designed by Four Waters Engineering, Inc.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:
1. Demolition of existing dune walkovers and construction of 20 new dune walkovers as specified in the Drawings.
2. All site work including grading, fencing, site restoration, permits, cleanup, and planting.
3. Collection and removal of all construction debris to an approved landfill.

The work must be completed in compliance with all applicable municipal, county, state, and federal codes.

Period of Performance
The construction is scheduled to take place between November 1, 2025, and April 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
The project will be executed at various locations along the coastline in Jacksonville Beach, Florida.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate qualifications including previous successful experience in similar projects. They must be able to perform at least 30% of the total contract work with their own labor force. Additionally, bidders must comply with Florida's Trench Safety Act and provide a drug-free workplace compliance form.
