Description

Background
The Broward County Records, Taxes, and Treasury Division is seeking a contractor to provide Secure On-Site Film and Document Records Destruction services. The goal of this contract is to ensure the secure destruction of sensitive documents and records for the Records Center and other Broward County agencies as needed. The contractor must be NAID AAA Certified throughout the contract term.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supplies, equipment, transportation, insurance, and incidentals required for document destruction services. The shredding equipment must be capable of destroying documents with staples, paperclips, binder clips, and similar fasteners.

Materials to be destroyed primarily include paper-based records such as:
- Office papers
- Computer paper
- Colored paper
- Glossy paper
- File stock
- Laser print paper
- File folders
- Envelopes

Occasionally, there may be a need to destroy non-paper media such as computer media, tapes, microfilm, or other record retention media. This is an open-end/indefinite quantity contract meaning that while there may be a guaranteed minimum quantity stated in the solicitation, the County can order additional quantities as needed without a maximum limit specified.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period is three years with the option for two annual renewals.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Broward County Records Center and various locations throughout Broward County as needed.

Bidder Requirements
The contractor must be NAID AAA Certified during the term of the contract. Additionally, all contractor personnel requiring unescorted access to Broward County facilities must obtain a County-issued contractor identification badge. Insurance requirements include Commercial General Liability with specified limits and coverage for various liabilities including Workers' Compensation insurance compliant with Florida statutes.
