Dock and Boardwalk Repairs

Background
The Pinellas County School District is seeking bids for the Dock and Boardwalk Repairs project at Madeira Beach Fundamental School. The goal of this contract is to remove damaged dock and boardwalk structures and replace them with new materials in accordance with specified plans and regulations. This project aligns with the District's mission to maintain safe and functional educational facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1) Furnishing all labor and materials necessary for the removal of damaged dock and boardwalk structures.

2) Replacing these structures with new materials as per the provided plans and specifications prepared by George F. Young, Inc.

3) Ensuring compliance with the State Requirements for Educational Facilities (SREF) as part of the Florida Building Code. The contractor must check dimensions on drawings for accuracy, as scaling is not permitted.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence during the 2026 Summer Break, lasting for ninety (90) calendar days or from the date of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Madeira Beach Fundamental K-8 School, located at 591 Tom Stuart Causeway, Madeira Beach, FL 33708.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide documented evidence of having a business license under the same legal entity for five continuous years prior to this bid. They must also demonstrate experience in general contracting or dock and boardwalk construction through five comparable projects within five years. Additionally, all subcontractors must have required licensing and meet background screening requirements as per Florida Statute F.S.255.0515.
