District Five Orlando Operations Equipment Bay Enclosure Roll Up Doors

Background
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), specifically District 5 Orlando Operations, is seeking qualified bidders to install eight (8) Stormtite Model 620 powered roll-up doors to enclose four (4) open bays at their facility located at 420 W. Landstreet Road, Orlando, Florida.
The goal of this contract is to enhance the security and functionality of the equipment bays by providing a turnkey installation that meets specified operational and safety standards.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for the installation of eight (8) Stormtite Model 620 powered roll-up doors. The project includes:
- Installation of four (4) roll-up doors in two (2) bays flush mounted and four (4) doors in two (2) bays mounted between jambs.
- Each door will feature:
- Roll-formed interlocking metal slats.
- Variable opening and closing speed of 6 to 12 inches per second.
- Minimum operation cycles of 20,000.
- Wind load design to withstand static pressure load of 26 psf.
- Galvanized steel construction with specific color and coating requirements.
- Complete electrical connections and testing for normal operation upon installation completion.
- Daily site cleanup and provision of a dumpster for waste disposal.

Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to begin on or about March 19, 2026, with all work required to be completed by June 1, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Florida Department of Transportation District Five Operations facility located at 420 W. Landstreet Road, Orlando, Florida.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have been actively engaged in the type of business requested for a minimum of five years and must possess a valid business operating license as well as a General Contractor's license issued by the State of Florida. Additionally, bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting at the job site to qualify their proposal.
