Background
The Florida Dispute Resolution Center (DRC) was established in 1986 by Supreme Court of Florida Chief Justice Joseph Boyd and FSU College of Law Dean Talbot 'Sandy' D'Alemberte as the first statewide center for education, training, and research in the field of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). The DRC provides staff assistance to five Supreme Court of Florida mediation boards and committees, certifies mediator and mediation, parenting coordinator, and elder care coordinator training programs, sponsors a regularly held conference for mediators, parenting coordinators, and arbitrators, and holds a bi-annual conference.
Work Details
The purpose of the procurement is to enter into a contract with a qualified event management Vendor to assist in the planning and management of the virtual Dispute Resolution Center Conference. The Conference will be held every 2 years. The contract will involve educational seminars, workshops, large-group plenary sessions, discussion forums, and other professional development activities. The virtual conference attendance is estimated at approximately 1,400 attendees and the in-person attendance is estimated at approximately 1,000 attendees.

The contract start date is August 22, 2024.

The location for the in-person conference is generally in Central Florida.
