Design-Build of a Community Street Lighting Replacement Project

Work Requested:

The Village, on behalf of the Bal Harbour Citizens Association (BHCA), is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced firms for the design-build of a comprehensive community street lighting replacement project within the gated residential community of Bal Harbour Village. The scope of work includes two options:

• Option A: Provide a complete, turnkey street lighting replacement solution, encompassing design and engineering, supply of all parts, labor, and materials for the entire project.
• Option B: Provide street lighting replacement, including design and engineering, supply of all labor and materials, but excluding owner-furnished poles and fixtures.

The project involves the design, engineering, material supply, installation, and all associated electrical work required to replace all existing streetlights within the community.

Who is Requesting:

This solicitation is issued by the Village, acting on behalf of the Bal Harbour Citizens Association (BHCA).

Background:

The gated residential community of Bal Harbour Village currently has street lighting infrastructure dating back to the original platting of the community in the 1940s and 1950s. The existing fixtures are outdated and require modernization to:

• Improve visibility
• Enhance safety
• Reduce energy consumption
• Elevate the overall aesthetic character of the community

Contract Requirements:

The BHCA is seeking a comprehensive street lighting replacement solution that includes:

• Lighting design plan and engineering drawings for the entire community street network
• Photometric analysis and design to ensure appropriate illumination levels throughout the community
• Supply of all necessary materials, labor, and equipment (depending on Option A or B)
• Installation and all associated electrical work for the replacement of all existing streetlights
