Demolition & Removal Services, Asbestos Surveys and Abatement Services

Background
The State of Florida, Department of Transportation is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Demolition and Removal Services, Asbestos Surveys, and Abatement Services under RFP number DOT-RFP-25-1148-SG. The goal of this contract is to ensure safe and compliant demolition and removal of structures containing asbestos, in line with state regulations.

The agency aims to engage qualified contractors who can provide comprehensive services related to the demolition of residential and commercial structures, including the necessary asbestos surveys and abatement procedures.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following services:

1. Demolition, removal, and disposal of residential structures including but not limited to:
- Buildings and improvements
- Foundations
- Attached decks
- Basements
- Porches
- Utility disconnections
- All personal property
- Wet demolition

2. Demolition of commercial/industrial structures with similar requirements as residential structures.

3. Removal of signs, light poles, utility poles, and associated bases.

4. Miscellaneous removals including wood decks, outbuildings, canopies, gas station pumps, septic tanks, wells, fencing/guardrails/walls.

5. Asbestos-related services including:
- Asbestos survey and report preparation
- Operation and maintenance plans for ACM containing facilities
- Air monitoring during abatement activities.

6. Final clearance reports post-abatement or demolition activities.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is expected to commence upon award and will continue until all services are completed satisfactorily as per the terms outlined in the RFP.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout the State of Florida as designated by the Department of Transportation.
