Convenience Stores at MIA

Background
Miami-Dade County, represented by the Miami-Dade County Aviation Department, is soliciting proposals for the establishment of two convenience stores at Miami International Airport (MIA). The goal is to enhance the airport's offerings and provide a wide range of goods and services to passengers, thereby improving customer satisfaction and optimizing sales and revenues.

MIA serves as a major economic engine for the region, facilitating significant international traffic and commerce.

Work Details
The proposer shall establish two convenience stores located in available spaces at the North (pre-security) and South (post-security) Terminals of Miami International Airport. The stores should stock everyday items such as:
- Coffee
- Groceries
- Snack foods
- Confectionery
- Packaged delicatessen items
- Soft drinks
- Beer
- Wine
- Ice creams
- Tobacco products
- Lottery tickets
- Over-the-counter pharmaceuticals
- Toiletries
- Newspapers and magazines.

Additionally, a small delicatessen counter/area should offer food products like sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups, etc., without separate branding. Miscellaneous services such as money orders and wire transfers may also be provided. The proposer is prohibited from selling cannabidiol (CBD) products. Operations must be maintained 365 days a year in accordance with the Tenant Handbook. All costs associated with installation, maintenance, management, and operation of the locations including equipment and fixtures will be borne by the proposer.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract duration is 10 years.
