Request For Professional Services Library

The County is seeking Construction Manager at Risk Services for various public utility projects in the County.

Sarasota County intends to contract with consultants to provide continuing professional engineering services for Construction Manager at Risk for public utility projects.

The County anticipates an initial contract term of 5 years.

Background
Sarasota County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida, is seeking qualified Proposers to provide Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services for various public utility projects. The County aims to contract with consultants for continuing professional engineering services in this capacity, with an anticipated initial contract term of 5 years.

Work Details
The consultant shall provide CMAR services on an as-needed basis for public utility projects, which may include:

- Water main installations
- Wastewater force main installations
- Gravity sewer installations
- Reclaimed water installations
- Lift station rehabilitations
- Electrical upgrades at treatment plants and lift stations
- Rehabilitation projects for water and wastewater treatment plants.

Specific project types include design review and rebuilding of existing lift stations; rehabilitation of wastewater collection systems; operational enhancements due to developmental projects; modifications to the Public Utility Air Release Valve Program; electrical upgrades for infrastructure; and repairs to major process equipment at treatment facilities. The work will be performed under a series of individual Project Assignments on a rotational basis.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term is anticipated to be 5 years.

The work will be performed within Sarasota County, Florida.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must be Certified General Contractors (CGC) or Underground Utility and Excavation Contractors (UUC) licensed in the State of Florida. Proposals should demonstrate experience providing CMAR services for utility projects in categories such as potable water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, potable water transmission systems, wastewater collection systems, pump stations, and reclaimed water systems. Proposers must have successfully completed a minimum of three public utility projects as a CMAR in the past seven years.
