Construction, Engineering, and Inspection Services for the Edgewater Drive - Complete Streets Segment A Project

Background
The City of Orlando is seeking Qualifications Statements from interested Consultants registered in the State of Florida to provide Professional Engineering Services for the Construction, Engineering, and Inspection Services for the Edgewater Drive - Complete Streets Segment A Project. This initiative aims to address deficiencies identified in the City’s ADA Transition Plan and improve safety and accessibility for pedestrians, cyclists, and other vulnerable users as part of the Vision Zero initiative.

Work Details
The Consultant will provide Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) services, which include:

1. Contract administration, inspection, subsurface utility location surveys, as-built survey, materials sampling and testing, maintenance of traffic plans, and compliance assistance services related to the project.

2. Personnel must meet specific qualifications set forth by FDOT and be capable of delivering quality services.

3. The Consultant shall ensure compliance with City and FDOT manuals and procedures.

4. The project will involve monitoring construction activities, inspecting materials entering into work, maintaining detailed records of daily operations, performing sampling and testing of materials per FDOT standards, conducting engineering surveys, coordinating contract administration activities among involved parties, and ensuring compliance with EEO requirements.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract will commence on the effective date of the Letters of Authorization issued under the Agreement and will continue for a period of sixteen (16) months.

Place of Performance
The project is located along Edgewater Drive in Orlando, Florida.

Bidder Requirements
Consultants must be registered in the State of Florida to provide Engineering Services pursuant to Section 471.023 of the Florida Statutes as of the due date for submission. Additionally, firms are encouraged to utilize Veterans Business Enterprise (VBE) firms as sub-consultants.
