The Collier County Board of County Commissioners, through its Public Transit and Neighborhood Enhancement Division, is seeking proposals for Operations Management Services for the Collier Area Transit (CAT) system. Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive Transportation Operations Management Services (TOMS) that encompass:
1. Management of all fixed route transit operations (Collier Area Transit - CAT).
2. Management of Demand Response Transit services (CAT Connect).
The contractor must utilize county-owned vehicles and a minimum number of contractor-owned vehicles dedicated to this contract. Responsibilities include management, personnel administration, compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and ensuring all services are delivered safely and efficiently.
The contractor is encouraged to leverage technology and propose innovative solutions to improve service efficiency. The contract requires the provision of a minimum fleet of 27 Gillig Transit buses and one Freightliner bus for fixed routes, with additional provisions for electric buses as they are procured. The contractor will also manage call center operations, scheduling, dispatching, customer relations, eligibility verification, and technology support.
Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract is three years with two optional one-year renewals. Prices must remain firm during the initial term.
