City Hall Electrical Switchgear Upgrades

The City of Orlando is seeking proposals for the comprehensive upgrade of electrical switchgear in the main tower of Orlando's City Hall, located at 400 South Orange Avenue, Orlando, Florida 32801. The scope of work includes furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, insurance, and commissioning services required to complete the electrical gear upgrades. This solicitation is issued by the City of Orlando's Procurement and Contracts Division. TLC Engineering Solutions (Design A/E) has been contracted by the City to prepare the permit set of design plans, titled 'Orlando City Hall - Main Tower Electrical Gear Upgrades Permit Plans,' and to develop the project specifications. These documents are provided as Exhibit 2 (Permit Plans) and Exhibit 3 (Project Specifications) for reference. A primary objective of this project is to ensure that all systems and assemblies function in accordance with the design intent and meet the operational needs of the Owner. Achieving this level of performance will be verified through a thorough commissioning process. The Commissioning Team for this project will consist of representatives from the City of Orlando (Owner), the Design A/E, the General Contractor, Installing Subcontractors, and the Commissioning Provider (CxP). The Proposer, acting as the General Contractor, is required to include the Installing Subcontractors as part of their proposal submission. Commissioning Provider (CxP) services will be provided by, or subcontracted through, the Design A/E. For this project, TLC Engineering Solutions will serve as the CxP for Electrical Systems. Proposers must ensure their submissions are complete and include all required parties as specified in the contract requirements.
