CDBG-DR City of Edgewater Canal Armoring Construction

Background
Volusia County’s Office of Recovery and Resiliency (ORR) is seeking construction services for the City of Edgewater's proposed canal stabilization and improvements. This project aims to aid in the recovery of Volusia County from the damage caused by Hurricane Ian in September 2022. The project is funded by a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR).

Work Details
The work includes the construction of canal armoring and stabilization as part of the CDBG-DR City of Edgewater Canal Armoring Construction project. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary survey, permits, labor, supervision, and equipment to complete the project according to specifications provided in Exhibit D (Construction Plans) and Exhibit E (Technical Specifications). The contractor must also comply with all applicable building codes.

The work must be completed within a total contract time of 150 days after receiving the Notice to Proceed, which includes substantial completion within 120 days and full completion within an additional 30 days.

Period of Performance
The contract work shall be substantially completed within 120 days after delivery of notice from the County to Contractor to proceed, with full completion required within 30 days thereafter, totaling 150 days.

Place of Performance
The geographic location for performance is the City of Edgewater, Florida.

Bidder Requirements
The contractor must be duly authorized to conduct business in Florida and must obtain all necessary permits and licenses required for the execution of this contract. The contractor is also responsible for ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to safety and health during construction.
