Background
The City of Cocoa Beach is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the South 7th Street and Flagler Lane ADA Dune Crossovers project. The project aims to replace the existing ADA dune crossover at the designated site in Cocoa Beach, FL, ensuring compliance with ADA standards. This initiative aligns with the city's commitment to improving accessibility and safety for residents and visitors.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:

1. Complete demolition and removal of the existing ADA dune crossover structure;

2. Construction of a new ADA-compliant dune crossover with necessary landings, ramps, handrails, and structural support elements;

3. The new structure will span approximately 237 feet at South 7th Street and approximately 222 feet at Flagler Lane, primarily constructed from pressure-treated Southern Yellow Pine timber;

4. All construction materials and workmanship must adhere to project design drawings, specifications, and applicable codes;

5. Mobilization & Demobilization: Preparatory work including movement of personnel and equipment;

6. Site Preparation: Conducting pre-construction surveys to verify existing contours;

7. Timber Requirements: All structural components must meet specified standards;

8. Foundations: Installation of pressure-treated wood piles as per detailed plans;

9. Decking: Construction of ramps with compliant decking and handrails;

10. Safety Compliance: Adherence to all applicable building codes and safety standards.

Period of Performance
The contract period is expected to commence upon award and is anticipated to be completed within a specified timeframe as outlined in the proposal instructions.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the designated site located in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide evidence of qualifications through previous experience on similar projects completed within the last three years. A minimum of three projects must be listed along with references. Additionally, all proposed subcontractors must have relevant experience and provide similar documentation.
