Background
Palm Beach County, through its Purchasing Department, is seeking proposals for bus stop advertising services to enhance the visibility and revenue generation of Palm Tran, the county's mass transit provider.
Palm Tran operates approximately 140 fixed-route buses across 31 routes, serving over 20,000 trips in a region with a population of about 1.5 million. The agency aims to improve its bus stop infrastructure and advertising capabilities as part of its mission to be the premier transportation choice in Palm Beach County. The current contract for bus shelter advertising is set to expire on October 3, 2025, or upon the award of a new contract.
Work Details
The selected contractor will be responsible for providing static and digital advertising services at Palm Tran bus stops. This includes organizing and maintaining advertising throughout Palm Beach County under a revenue-sharing arrangement with Palm Tran.
The contractor must ensure compliance with local ordinances regarding advertising and will have opportunities to advertise as new infrastructure is developed. The scope excludes existing and improved bus stop benches from this contract. The contractor will also need to manage the installation and maintenance of digital displays, which will be purchased by Palm Beach County.
Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on February 17, 2025, and will last for a period of twenty-four (24) months, ending on February 16, 2027. There are options for three (3) twelve-month renewals at the discretion of the county.

The services will be performed throughout Palm Beach County at various bus stop locations managed by Palm Tran.
