Description

The Suwannee River Water Management District (District) owns and manages approximately 160,000 acres of forestland in North Central Florida for protection of floodplains and their associated habitats. These properties are managed under a multiple-use policy that emphasizes water resources protection, maintenance and restoration of the natural state and condition, utilization of timber harvest to achieve habitat manipulation goals, and provisions for public access and recreation.
The District is requesting bids from firms that can provide boundary painting/posting services in the District.
Bidders shall be individuals or firms that provide boundary painting/posting services for tracts of land in North Central Florida.

This contract seeks bids for boundary painting/posting services to mark property lines effectively.

Work Details
The contractor will provide boundary line painting/posting services across the District's properties, which includes approximately 1,000 miles of boundary lines that need to be remarked every five years. The goal is to paint/post 200 miles each year. The work involves:
- Painting one tree per 200 feet along perimeter property lines with approved boundary marking paint.
- Repainting existing painted trees or posts and placing new trees as needed.
- Applying a six-inch-wide band of paint at five feet above ground on all line trees or posts, with additional bands for corner markers.
- Installing pressure-treated posts where necessary, with specific dimensions and painting requirements.
- Posting boundary signs provided by the District at specified intervals and replacing any damaged signs.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period is three years, ending September 30, 2028, with options for two one-year renewals based on performance.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed across various tracts of land managed by the Suwannee River Water Management District in North Central Florida.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have at least five years of relevant experience and provide documentation of three similar projects completed in the past three years. They must demonstrate the ability to supply necessary equipment and experienced personnel. Bidders are required to have a GPS device capable of collecting points in WGS-84 datum. Additionally, they must provide proof of insurance covering workers' compensation, motor vehicular liability, and general liability.
