Background
The City of Jacksonville, through the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO), is seeking bids for the supply of body armor, systems, and carriers. The goal is to establish a contract for reliable sources of these essential items to ensure the safety and effectiveness of law enforcement personnel. This solicitation aims to obtain pricing commitments and fulfill the specifications outlined in the bid documents.

Work Details
The contract includes providing body armor, systems, and carriers as specified in the bid documents. Bidders must submit offers for all items in Groups 1 and 2 to be considered for award. Group 3 will be awarded by item to the lowest responsive bidder. Deliveries will be made to the JSO Police Supply Unit at specified locations, including packing slips with required details such as purchase order numbers. Bidders must also provide samples as per specified instructions.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period is one year, with two optional one-year renewals subject to approval from both the supplier and the City of Jacksonville.

Place of Performance
Deliveries will be made to the JSO Police Supply Unit located at Police Memorial Building, Catherine Street Loading Dock, 501 East Bay Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be legally authorized to do business in Duval County and comply with all minimum requirements outlined in the solicitation. They must provide proof of applicable local business licenses if located within Duval County. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to utilize Jacksonville Small and Emerging Businesses (JSEBs) in their proposals.
