Bibliotheca Work Stations

Hillsborough County is seeking to procure 122 radio-frequency identification workstations for the Library Services Department. This contract involves a one-time purchase of these workstations, which are specifically designed to integrate seamlessly with the department's existing device and software systems, as well as maintenance programming. The requested workstations are required to maintain compatibility with the current integrated system in use by the department. The procurement is being initiated by Hillsborough County, which intends to recommend the award of a sole source contract for this purchase. This contract is being pursued under Section 3-205(2)(b) of the County's Procurement Policy, as the required workstations are only reasonably available from a single source. Bibliotheca, LLC is the exclusive provider of these radio-frequency identification workstations and does not authorize any third parties to sell these products. The devices are necessary to ensure continued compatibility with the Library Services Department's existing systems. The County reserves the right to extend the contract period, adjust the scope of services in response to changing conditions and updated requirements, and increase the resulting award as needed. Contractors who believe they can provide goods and/or services that are substantially and materially the same as those specified in the attached quote must submit clear and convincing information to support a challenge to the intended award. Such challenges must be received no later than the Close Date of the Sole Source (SS) Project and should be directed to the primary contact listed above using the messages section in Bonfire for this procurement. The County will review all properly submitted challenges to determine whether bona fide competition exists. After the specified date, an award will be made.
