Commodity or Service Required: Purchase of Beach Park and Ride Ticket Vending Machine Description: Lee County Transit seeks to execute a single-source procurement for a Vendstar-4 Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) by Genfare, LLC. The Genfare Vendstar-4 Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) provides convenient, self-service vending for mass transit riders. This TVM will replace the former TVM at the Beach Park and Ride, which is longer functioning after Hurricane Ian. Intended Single Source: Genfare, LLC. Justification for Single Source Acquisition: Since the acquisition of the Genfare farebox system in 2020 through RFP180573LAC, Lee Tran has utilized its integrated software and hardware solution. Genfare LLC offers a proprietary system that seamlessly integrates with the Genfare Vendstar-4 Ticket Vending Machine (TVM). Genfare will supply, install, and ensure full integration of the new TVM with the existing farebox infrastructure, maintaining operational continuity and efficiency. Recommended Procurement Approach: For the reason(s) stated above, Lee County Procurement Management intends to utilize the Single Source Procurement method to purchase from Genfare, LLC., to supply the above.
