Asphalt Patching Services - RFB

Background
The City of St. Pete Beach is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to perform asphalt patching services. This initiative aims to address various pavement issues, including utility repairs, damaged areas, and potholes within the city's roadways.

The contract will ensure that the city maintains safe and functional road conditions for its residents and visitors.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for asphalt patching services. Specific tasks include:

1. Mobilization: Preparatory work necessary to commence work.
2. SP-9.5 Asphalt Patch: Saw cutting and removal of existing asphalt, compacting subgrade material, and placing 2" type SP-9.5 asphalt.
3. SP-12.5 Asphalt Patch: Similar to SP-9.5 but using type SP-12.5 asphalt.
4. Adding Lime Rock Base (6" lift): New lime rock base material placement.
5. Adding Crushed Concrete Base (6" lift): New crushed concrete base material placement.
6. Perma Drive installation.
7. Drain Grate Removal: Removal of existing drain grates as needed.

The estimated quantities for bidding purposes include 250 square yards for both types of asphalt patches and 20 cubic yards each for lime rock and crushed concrete bases.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence immediately following execution and will be completed within three years, with an option to renew for two additional one-year periods.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations throughout the City of St. Pete Beach, Florida.
