Background
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is seeking to procure annual maintenance and hosting services for the Intelligent Transportation Systems Facility Management (ITSFM) System. The goal of this contract is to ensure the operational elements of the ITSFM system's software and hardware are maintained effectively. Byers Engineering Company is identified as the known vendor capable of providing these services, as they are the developers of the proprietary NexusWorx software utilized by FDOT.
Work Details
The contract includes the following services:
1. Maintenance and hosting of the ITSFM system's software and hardware, which includes ongoing support for active users, security updates, and access to Google map views.
2. Software maintenance services that encompass product upgrades, technical support through a dedicated support desk, and enhancements based on FDOT's requirements.
3. Hosting services provided in both production and training environments located in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
4. Backend data support for database management tasks such as data migration and connectivity clean-up.
5. Provision of Google Maps pre-paid map views for enhanced mapping functionalities within the application.
6. Support for Web Feature Service (WFS) interfaces that allow external systems to interact with the ITSFM database.
Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of one year, from November 1, 2025, through October 31, 2026.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed remotely via cloud-based infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services, with specific operational elements managed from FDOT’s central office in Tallahassee, Florida.
