Ambulance Billing Services

Background
The City of Jacksonville is seeking to contract with a company or firm to provide ambulance billing services. The goal of this contract is to ensure efficient billing and collection of charges for emergency ambulance transportation, as well as providing necessary reports to the City’s Fire Rescue Division and Finance Department.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:

1. Computerized billing and collection of charges for emergency ambulance transportation.

2. Providing monthly managerial reports in Microsoft Excel format to the City of Jacksonville Fire Rescue Division and Finance Department/Accounts Receivable division.

3. Daily upload confirmation reports and daily billing reports.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will continue for a specified duration as outlined in the final agreement, with performance expected to align with the needs of the City.

Place of Performance
Services will primarily be performed within Duval County, Florida.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate:

1. Proof of three current EMS client contracts with a minimum of 75,000 emergency-911 ambulance transports each per year.

2. A current SSAE 18 Report (formerly SAS-70).

3. Proof of all necessary business licenses required by local, state, and federal laws.

4. A HIPAA Privacy and Security Plan in place, with no breaches resulting in penalties in the past 12 months.
