Description

The Suwannee River Water Management District (District) owns and manages approximately 162,000 acres of rural lands in north central Florida for the protection of floodplains and their associated habitats. Within these lands are over 1,700 miles of forest roads vital to the public and District staff for access and management. The District is headquartered at a 30,000 square foot facility on 12 acres located at 9225 County Road 49, Live Oak, FL 32060 that houses employees, equipment, and vital infrastructure. This Invitation to Bid (ITB) is to develop contracts with firms available immediately and continuously following all-hazard events, such as hurricanes, to remove debris and make District access safe for use.

This Invitation to Bid (ITB) aims to establish contracts with firms capable of providing all-hazard debris clean-up services immediately and continuously after events such as hurricanes, ensuring safe access to District lands.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following services:
- Precision tree removal around infrastructure including buildings, fences, roads, and utilities.
- Removal of trees from roads, right-of-ways, and firelines.
- Debris clean-up including limbs, leaves, trash, yard debris, and building debris from paved areas.
- Removal and hauling of vegetative debris collected from District headquarters to approved sites.
- Cut and toss operations for fallen trees and limbs within the District road corridors.
- Removal of hazardous leaning trees and hanging limbs within the road corridors.
- Daily progress reporting with GPS documentation of work performed is required.

Period of Performance
The initial contract duration is five years with three optional one-year renewals based on mutual agreement between the District and the Contractor.
Work must commence within 24 hours for headquarters tasks and within 72 hours for tasks on District lands after receiving a notice-to-proceed.

Place of Performance
The primary location for performance is the Suwannee River Water Management District's headquarters at 9225 County Road 49, Live Oak, FL 32060.
Additional work may occur at various remote locations across the District's managed lands.
