Acquisition Consultant Services for the Rural and Family Lands Protection Program

Background
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for acquisition consultant services to support its Rural and Family Lands Protection Program. The goal of this contract is to assist the Department in obtaining easements as outlined in Sections 570.71 and 570.715 of the Florida Statutes and Rule Chapter 5I-7 of the Florida Administrative Code.

Work Details
The contractor will provide acquisition consultant services which include: assisting the Department with obtaining easements, conducting necessary research, preparing documentation, and providing expert advice related to land acquisition processes. Specific tasks are detailed in Exhibit A, Scope of Work.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract will be five (5) years, with an option to renew for an additional five (5) years upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed primarily at the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services located at 407 S. Calhoun Street, SB-8 Mayo Building, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-0800.

Bidder Requirements
Respondents must comply with several requirements including: registration in MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP), submission of a completed FDACS Acknowledgement Form, Conflict of Interest Statement, Non-Coercion for Labor or Services Affidavit, Drug-Free Workplace Program Certification, and a Foreign Country of Concern Attestation. Additionally, vendors must not be on any suspended or prohibited lists as defined by Florida Statutes.
