Background
The State of Delaware Department of Health and Social Services, through the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDDS), is seeking professional services for vital signs monitoring and Nurse Call Alert services.
The mission of the DDDS is to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead meaningful lives by providing access to a comprehensive network of support. The Stockley Center, a Medicaid-certified Intermediate Care Facility, aims to enhance care delivery through these advanced services to ensure the safety and well-being of its residents.
Work Details
The contract requires the vendor to provide the following services and products:
- A system capable of monitoring vital signs with specific requirements including:
- WIFI capability with evaluation of network capabilities.
- Provision of wireless routers, extenders, desktop/laptop hardware meeting minimum specifications, and Ethernet hardwiring.
- Ability to interface with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) via API for uploading vitals and staff information.
- Battery backup for monitors during power failures.
- Integration with other monitoring systems (e.g., Stryker Beds).
- Customizable alert parameters for various vitals such as O2 levels, pulse, and breathing rates.
- Hardware requirements include:
- Minimum of 10 Vital Signs Patient Monitors with mobile stands.
- Desktop workstations (9 active/1 backup).
- Minimum of 18 stationary monitoring stations (16 active/2 backup).
- Remote notification systems for alarms at nurse stations.
- Maintenance services including preventive maintenance, timely response to inquiries/system issues, availability of backup hardware on-site, and established schedules for updates and security patches.
Period of Performance
The contract will be in effect for five years with five optional one-year extensions. The estimated notification of award is set for July 1, 2025.
