Stern East Readiness Center Renovations

Background
The Delaware Army National Guard is seeking renovation services for the Stern East Readiness Center. The project involves converting an existing field maintenance shop into office space and secure storage for the Recruiting and Retention Battalion. The project aims to upgrade or extend the existing mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems to meet code and user requirements, as well as provide a new fire alarm system.

Work Details
The renovation project includes converting approximately 8,086 square feet of space, with around 4,922 square feet designated for office space and the remaining area for unconditioned secured storage. The office area will consist of various spaces such as a reception area, conference room, breakroom, print shop, offices, cubicles, toilets, and a janitor's closet.
Additionally, site work will involve upgrading the East side parking lot to accommodate approximately 39 parking spaces for staff and visitors of the Recruiting and Retention Battalion.

Period of Performance
Sealed bids for the contract are to be received by the Delaware Army National Guard until 1:00 PM local time on Monday, March 25, 2024. A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 5, 2024.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at the Stern East Readiness Center in New Castle County. The pre-bid meeting will take place at the Bethany Beach Training Site in Bethany Beach, DE.
