Seaford School District Office Exterior Renovations

Background
The Seaford School District is seeking bids for exterior renovations at the District Administration Office located in Seaford, Delaware. The goal of this project is to improve accessibility and aesthetics of the building's entrance, ensuring compliance with ADA standards.

Work Details
The project scope includes:
1. Replacement of the existing concrete walk, ramp, steps, and landing.
2. Construction of new ADA compliant ramps and stairs with brick retaining walls and associated railings.
3. Replacement of two exterior doors for ADA access.
4. Installation of new brick piers and columns to support the entry portico.
5. Coordination with the selected civil engineer to connect with the adjacent parking lot walkway.

An alternate scope includes sidewalk replacement at Frederick Douglass Elementary School.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence after the bid award and must be completed by May 27, 2025.

Bidder Requirements
Only General Contractors may submit bids on this project. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for May 13, 2025, at which attendance is required for bidding eligibility. Bids must include a bid security equivalent to ten percent of the bid amount and a performance bond equal to 100 percent of the contract price upon execution.
