Asbestos Management Services

Background
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to acquire professional services for Asbestos Management.
The goal is to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations regarding asbestos in structures owned by the State of Delaware.
This contract aims to facilitate the testing, sampling, and abatement of asbestos-containing materials as part of a broader effort to maintain public safety and environmental health.

Work Details
The selected contractor will provide the following services:
- Asbestos testing and sampling on state-owned structures.
- Preparation of scope of work and associated reports.
- Solicitation and recommendation of bids under the Small Purchase Procedure.
- Monitoring of remedial processes related to asbestos abatement.
- Provision of clearance and final reports when necessary.

The consultant must demonstrate expertise in: contract management, contractor oversight, compliance with state and federal laws, asbestos sampling, specification development, monitoring abatement activities, report preparation, lead paint testing, TCLP testing, and waste manifest documentation.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a term of three years with two possible one-year extensions.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed on various structures owned by the State of Delaware.
