Advancing Healthy Lifestyles Coalition and Conference

Background
The State of Delaware Department of Health and Social Services, Division of Public Health, is seeking professional services for the facilitation of the Advancing Healthy Lifestyles Coalition and Conference. This initiative aims to enhance public health by addressing obesity and chronic diseases through community engagement and collaboration.

The Division's mission includes promoting positive lifestyles and improving health equity among Delawareans. The Advancing Healthy Lifestyles Initiative (AHL) was launched to support these goals, with the Coalition formed in September 2023 to foster partnerships across various sectors.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for facilitating all aspects of the Advancing Healthy Lifestyles Coalition and the annual Conference. Specific services include:
1. Project facilitation and management for the Coalition and Conference efforts.
2. Administrative support to the Physical Activity, Nutrition, and Obesity Prevention (PANO) Program on strategic planning and community engagement projects.
3. Collaboration with PANO staff to enhance Coalition activities.
4. Organizing engaging breakout sessions, keynote speakers, panel discussions, and vendor tables for approximately 300 attendees at each conference.
5. Conducting quarterly in-person meetings for the Coalition with presentations, information sharing, and networking opportunities.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of one year starting from July 1, 2025, with the possibility of four additional one-year extensions based on funding availability and vendor performance.

Place of Performance
The services will primarily be performed in Delaware, with specific locations for meetings and conferences likely to vary across New Castle, Kent, and Sussex Counties.
