Absalom Jones Senior Center - Roof Replacement

Background
The Absalom Jones Senior Center Roof Replacement project is initiated by the State of Delaware, Office of Management and Budget, Division of Facilities Management. The goal of this contract is to replace the existing roof at the Absalom Jones Senior Center located at 310 Kiamensi Road, Wilmington, DE 19804. The project is prepared by Becker Morgan Group, Inc., with the contract number MC1002000824 and project number 2023281.00.

Work Details
The work involves the removal and replacement of the existing aluminum storefront windows and doors with new aluminum storefront windows and doors. Additionally, it includes the removal and replacement of existing exterior hollow metal doors and frames with new hollow metal doors and frames. Specific tasks include:

- Roof demolition as per plan AD101.
- Renovation roof plan as per plan A101.
- Installation of EPDM membrane roofing as specified in section 07 53 23.
- Installation of sheet metal flashing and trim as specified in section 07 62 00.
- Installation of roof specialties as specified in section 07 71 00.
- Installation of roof accessories as specified in section 07 72 00.
- Application of joint sealants as specified in section 07 92 00.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from July 19, 2024, until completion, with specific timelines for various phases outlined in the construction documents.
