Background
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is seeking to procure two (2) JCB 940 Rough Terrain Forklifts for the Office of Track & Structures (TRST), Track Maintenance Division. This procurement aims to replace aging units in their current fleet, which require frequent repairs. This will improve equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs. The forklifts will be utilized for loading and unloading heavy track materials, essential for maintaining the organization and efficiency of the rail yard operations.

Work Details
The selected vendor shall provide:
- Two (2) JCB 940 Rough Terrain Forklifts
- Manufacturer's warranty for both forklifts for a minimum of one (1) year or the longest offered time period.
- Delivery of the forklifts to Alexandria Yard, 3101 Eisenhower Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22314 within 7 days of receiving the Purchase Order.

1. Engine Model: JCB EcoMAX TCAE-55
2. Type: 4-cylinder, 4.4L turbocharged diesel
3. Power Output: 74 hp (55 kW) @ 2200 rpm
4. Torque: 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) @ 1300 rpm
5. Emission Compliance: Tier 4 Final (no need for DEF or DPF)
6. Transmission: 4-speed Syncroshuttle with power shuttle (4F/4R)

Maximum Lift Capacity: 8,000 lbs (3,629 kg) and Maximum Lift Height: 22 ft 5 in (6.7 m).

Period of Performance
The contract will last for a minimum of one (1) year from the date of award.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must register in the WMATA Vendor Registration System to be eligible to submit quotes. All vendors must comply with insurance requirements including Workers’ Compensation and Commercial General Liability coverage as specified in the solicitation.
