Werth Center for Innovation & Entrepeneurship

Background
The Werth Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship project involves the conversion of two existing adjacent regular classrooms into one computer lab with office, workroom, and storage room. Additionally, it includes the conversion of a former computer lab suite into a new innovation and entrepreneurship center, which will consist of a gathering space, maker space, classroom, director’s office, conference room, and two storage rooms.

The scope of work encompasses selective demolition, steel stud and gypsum board partitions, hollow metal frames, flush wood doors, acoustical panel ceilings, resilient tile flooring, tile carpeting, painting, room identification signs, casework, countertops, electrical work, lighting, plumbing, and modifications to existing HVAC and fire protection systems.

Work Details
The work to be completed includes the conversion of classrooms into a computer lab and the creation of an innovation and entrepreneurship center. This involves various construction activities such as demolition, partitioning, door installation, ceiling and flooring work, painting, installation of room identification signs and casework/countertops. Additionally, it includes electrical work, lighting installation, plumbing activities as well as modifications to the existing HVAC and fire protection systems.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from June 14th, 2024 to July 11th, 2024.

The project will be performed at CT State Colleges & Universities located at 450 Columbus Boulevard Hartford CT, 06103 United States.
