Description

The Town of Fairfield (Town) on behalf of its Department of Public Works (DPW) and Economic Development is seeking competitive bids from qualified Contractors to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and all else necessary for the Southport Community Connectivity Project as per the drawings and project specifications prepared by BL Companies. The goal of this project is to alleviate periodic congestion, improve roadway safety, improve pedestrian access and safety, support future development and enhance the visual appearance of this busy commercial corridor and key gateway into Town. NOTE: This project is being partially funded by a Community Connectivity Grant administered by the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) and Office of Policy Management (OPM).
Background
The Town of Fairfield, through its Department of Public Works (DPW) and Economic Development, is initiating the Southport Community Connectivity Project. This project aims to alleviate periodic congestion, enhance roadway safety, improve pedestrian access and safety, support future development, and enhance the visual appeal of a busy commercial corridor that serves as a key gateway into the Town.

The project is partially funded by a Community Connectivity Grant from the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) and the Office of Policy Management (OPM).

Work Details
Contractors are required to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and any other necessary resources to complete the Southport Community Connectivity Project according to the specifications outlined in the drawings prepared by BL Companies. Specific tasks include improving roadway infrastructure, enhancing pedestrian pathways, and implementing design elements that contribute to the visual enhancement of the area.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on August 28, 2024, and conclude on October 02, 2024.
