Description

The Town of Granby is soliciting proposals from qualified independent contractors for the dredging of a recreational swimming pond in Granby.
Background
The Town of Granby, CT is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Granby Parks and Recreation Department to solicit proposals from qualified independent contractors for the dredging of a recreational swimming pond at Salmon Brook Park. This initiative aims to address the accumulation of natural vegetation and organic debris that has led to silt deposits and vegetation encroachment in the pond, which serves as a recreational waterfront facility. The project is funded and budgeted for the fiscal year 2025-2026.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:

1) Cleaning and removing leaves, brush, small branches, and dead vegetation from an approximately one-acre man-made, spring-fed swimming pond with a maximum depth of about 10 feet.
