Background
The Town of Wallingford, through its Department of Finance and Bureau of Purchases, is seeking to establish a contract for the supply of field marking paint.
This contract aims to secure a single source for both white and colored field marking paint to meet the needs of town agencies over a specified period.

The contractor will provide white and colored field marking paint that meets the following specifications:
- Viscous Liquid
- Viscosity: 100 KU
- Weight Per Gallon: 12.0 lbs.
- Grind: 25 microns
- Solids by Weight: 53.7%
- Index of Refraction: 1.78
- Reflectance of Mixed Pigments: 0.727
- Percent of Pigment by Weight: 47%
- Titanium Dioxide: 0.126%
- Calcined Clay: 0.37%
- Calcium Carbonate: 0.504%
- Percent Resin: 0.084%
- Theoretical Coverage Per Gallon: 558 sq. ft.
- Coverage (undiluted, 1 gal.), for a 4” stripe: 900 linear ft.
- Drying Time: 1 hour
- Clean Up with Soap and Water

Dilution ratios are specified as follows:
- White: 2-4 parts water to one part paint;
- Color: 1-2 parts water to one part paint.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2029.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in Wallingford, Connecticut.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit sealed proposals to the Purchasing Agent at the Town Hall in Wallingford and may be required to provide further information and references prior to bid award.
