The Greater Hartford Transit District (the District) is a quasi-municipal corporation operating under the authority of Chapter 103a of the Connecticut General Statutes. The District is governed by a Board of Directors composed of appointees from sixteen-member towns. The District has extensive powers to acquire, operate, finance, plan, develop, maintain, and provide various forms of land transportation and related services. This includes the development or renewal of transportation centers and parking facilities.
The District owns and operates Hartford's Union Station Transportation Center Complex and the ADA Paratransit Operations & Maintenance Facility located in East Hartford, CT.
Work Details
