Five Points Arts HVAC Project

Background
The Five Points Arts Center, a former UCONN Campus, is a 30,000 square foot facility built in 1967. It currently relies on outdated heating and ventilation systems. Over the years, modifications have included partial installation of a Building Management System (BMS), mini-splits, and Roof Top Units for air conditioning.

The goal of this project is to enhance the facility's HVAC systems for improved energy efficiency and temperature control.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Replacing failed or failing heating and air conditioning units;
- Replacing exhaust fan units;
- Replacing pneumatic controlled radiant heat with electronic thermostats;
- Removing the existing pneumatic control system;
- Installing a comprehensive Building Management System (BMS) that will manage the entire building's HVAC operations.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on May 01, 2025, and conclude on June 24, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Five Points Arts Center located at 855 University Drive, Torrington, CT, 06790, United States.
