Data Center Co-location Services

Background
This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued by the State of Connecticut's Department of Administrative Services (DAS) to obtain services from a data center co-location provider. The objectives include reducing operational costs, improving system performance and reliability, accommodating future growth, providing robust disaster recovery, and ensuring physical security with on-site technical support.

Work Details
The selected contractor will provide data center co-location services that include:

(A) Shared data center co-location with integrated energy efficiency;
(B) Upgraded technologies and infrastructure for improved performance, scalability, and reliability;
(C) Capacity for future growth and technology advancements;
(D) Disaster recovery solutions through geographically dispersed sites;
(E) Physical security measures and 'smart hands' technicians for operational tasks.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on August 11, 2025, and conclude on October 9, 2025.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at designated State data center locations in Connecticut.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must comply with specific requirements including certifications related to micro-business or veteran-owned status. All proposals must be submitted online through CTsource. Contractors are required to provide references from organizations other than State agencies and must disclose any debarment or criminal convictions.
